Privacy Policy
Solution Medical Supply is an educational reference site. We do not sell products and we do not share your information with third-party commercial partners. This page explains exactly what we collect, why, and how long we keep it.
How We Handle Your Information
Last updated: June 5, 2026. Solution Medical Supply ("we," "us," or "the site") operates solutionmedicalsupply.com as a free, independent reference desk for medical equipment and consumables. We publish buying guides and explainers across mobility, respiratory care, advanced wound care, incontinence supplies, clinical furniture, and procurement. We are not a storefront, we do not process payments, and we do not maintain accounts or customer profiles. The only personal information we handle comes from two places: people who subscribe to our newsletter and people who use our contact form. This policy describes both, plus the limited, standard analytics we use to understand which guides are useful.
What We Collect
We collect only what each interaction actually requires, and nothing more.
- Newsletter sign-up. When you subscribe, we collect your email address. Supplying a first name is optional and used only to address messages to you. We do not ask for, and you should not send us, any health information, diagnosis, prescription, or other sensitive personal data through the newsletter form.
- Contact form. When you write to us, we collect the email address you provide, any name you choose to include, and the contents of your message. People reach out to suggest topics, flag an error in a guide, or ask a general equipment question. Please keep messages general — do not include personal medical details, patient identifiers, insurance numbers, or other confidential information, because a contact form is not a secure clinical channel.
- Analytics. Like most websites, we collect a small amount of technical and usage data automatically: the pages you view, the approximate region your request comes from (derived from your IP address, not stored as a precise location), the type of device and browser you use, and how you arrived at the site (for example, a search engine or a direct link). This is aggregated, measurement-level data used to see which guides get read and where pages are slow or broken.
We do not collect payment information of any kind, because there is nothing to buy on this site. We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
How We Use It
Each category of information has a single, narrow purpose:
- Your email address is used to send the newsletter you asked for — periodic notes when we publish or substantially update a guide — and, separately, to reply to a message you sent through the contact form. We do not cross-use these: a contact-form email is not added to the newsletter list, and a newsletter subscriber is not contacted about anything other than the newsletter.
- The contents of your message are used only to respond to you and, where relevant, to correct or improve the guide you referenced.
- Analytics data is used in aggregate to prioritize which topics to expand, to find and fix technical problems, and to measure whether a guide is actually helping readers make a decision. It is never used to identify you individually.
We never sell, rent, or trade your information. Because this is an authority-building educational property and not a commercial operation, there is no sales pipeline, no lead list, and no third-party marketing partner that your data is passed to.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
We keep cookie use deliberately minimal. We use two kinds:
- Strictly necessary cookies that keep the site working — for example, remembering whether you have dismissed the newsletter prompt so it does not reappear on every page. These cannot be switched off and carry no tracking purpose.
- Analytics cookies that let our measurement tooling distinguish a returning visit from a new one and count page views accurately. These are first-party, do not follow you across other websites, and are not used for advertising.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. The reference guides will still load and read normally without them; you may simply see the newsletter prompt more than once. We do not use cross-site advertising trackers, social-media pixels, or fingerprinting.
Data Sharing
We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own commercial use — full stop. The only parties that ever touch your data are the operational service providers that make the site run: our website host, our email delivery service (which transmits the newsletter and routes contact-form replies), and our analytics provider (which processes aggregated usage data). Each acts only on our instructions, only to deliver the function described above, and is not permitted to use your information for their own marketing. We may also disclose information if we are legally required to do so by a valid legal process, but we will resist requests that are overbroad or unlawful.
How Long We Keep It
- Newsletter email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe. Every newsletter includes a one-click unsubscribe link; once you use it, your address is removed from the active list and is not retained for re-marketing.
- Contact-form messages are kept only as long as needed to resolve your inquiry and to maintain a short record of corrections or topic suggestions, after which they are deleted on a routine basis.
- Analytics data is retained in aggregate for a limited period to observe trends over time, then expires automatically. It is not tied back to an identifiable individual.
Your Choices and Rights
You are in control of the limited information we hold. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any message. You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to us through the contact form or at [email protected]. Because we collect so little, these requests are usually straightforward to honor. You can also control cookies and analytics through your own browser settings as described above.
Security
We protect the information we hold with reasonable, industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted transmission of form submissions and restricted access to the email lists. No method of transmission over the internet is perfectly secure, which is one more reason we ask you not to send sensitive medical or financial details through the site.
Changes to This Policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Because our data practices are intentionally narrow, we expect changes to be rare. Material changes that affect how we use existing newsletter data would be communicated to subscribers directly.
Contact
Questions about this policy, or about the information we hold, can be sent to [email protected] or through our contact page. We read every message and aim to respond promptly.
