Ask the Reference Desk

Send us a sourcing question. Get a plain-spoken, vendor-neutral answer.

Solution Medical Supply is a reference desk, not a storefront. Tell us the equipment decision you're stuck on — which power chair, which dressing class, what par level — and we'll point you to the spec, the trade-off, and the question to ask your distributor. No quotes, no upsell, no obligation.

What a useful question looks like

The more specific your question, the more specific our answer. "What's the best oxygen concentrator?" gets a general reply; "I'm outfitting a 6-bed urgent care and need a continuous-flow concentrator rated for 8 LPM with a duty cycle for daytime clinic use — what should I be comparing?" gets a real one.

Tell us the setting (home, clinic, urgent care, long-term care), the patient or use case, the category (mobility, respiratory, wound care, incontinence, clinical furniture, or procurement), and any constraints — budget band, reimbursement, lead time, space. We answer from a distributor's and procurement specialist's seat: what the spec sheets actually mean, where the lead times bite, and which trade-offs matter for comfort and dignity at the bedside.

Phone and the sourcing brief

Phone: +1 (888) 555-0199. This is a placeholder line while a tracked number is provisioned — for now, the question form below is the fastest way to a written, vendor-neutral answer you can forward to your team.

The Sourcing Brief: our periodic plain-language roundup — new device categories worth knowing, dressing and consumable selection notes, GPO and vendor-vetting reminders, and the lead-time shifts we're watching across DME and consumables. One subscription, no sales mail. Subscribe with the form below and tell us which pillars you care about so we can keep it relevant.

What happens after you hit send

No funnel, no follow-up sales sequence. Just an answer.

01

1 · We read it like a spec, not a lead

Your question lands with a procurement specialist who has actually specced the category. We're reading for the decision you face, not for a sale to make.

02

2 · We answer vendor-neutral

You get the relevant spec, the comparison that matters, and the trade-offs — never a recommendation to buy from any particular seller. We name no providers and quote no prices.

03

3 · We point you to the deeper guide

Where a full buying guide already covers it — power wheelchairs, NPWT, catheter sizing, exam-table selection — we link you straight to it so you have the long version on file.

04

4 · You decide, on your terms

Take the answer to your own distributor, GPO, or purchasing committee. We stay out of the transaction. That's the whole point of a reference desk.

Ask a sourcing question

Use the form below to send a specific equipment or procurement question, or to subscribe to the Sourcing Brief. Include your setting, the category, and any constraints. We reply in plain language, vendor-neutral, with no sales follow-up. Required fields are marked.

Your question
The Sourcing Brief

We don't sell equipment, share your details with sellers, or use your question to start a sales sequence. This is a resource-only property in an authority-building phase.

Frequently asked questions

Are you trying to sell me equipment?

No. Solution Medical Supply is a reference desk in an authority-building phase — purely educational. We carry no inventory, take no orders, and have no commercial funnel. You take our answer to your own distributor or purchasing committee.

Will you recommend a specific brand or vendor?

We'll explain what separates the tiers — duty cycles, dressing classes, weight capacities, lead times — so you can compare intelligently. We deliberately don't name providers or quote prices, because vendor-neutral is the value of the desk.

How fast will I hear back?

The question form is the fastest path to a written, forwardable answer. The phone line is a placeholder until a tracked number is live, so for now expect the best response through the form.

What's the difference between asking a question and subscribing?

A question gets you a one-time, specific answer to your sourcing problem. The Sourcing Brief is an ongoing, periodic roundup across the DME and consumables categories — category notes, vendor-vetting reminders, and lead-time shifts we're tracking. You can do either or both on the form above.

Do you cover procurement and supply-chain questions, not just devices?

Yes. Vendor vetting, GPO basics, par-level and inventory management, and lead-time planning are a full pillar of what we cover. If your question is about how to buy rather than what to buy, send it — that's squarely in scope.

Have a decision in front of you? Ask before you order.

Whether you're outfitting a new clinic, restocking a wound-care cart, or sizing catheters for a home-health caseload, send the question first. A plain-spoken, vendor-neutral answer costs nothing and may save you a return.
